Πυρίτης is a sound sculpture that uses pyrites (minerals from the sulfide family, whose chemical formula is FeS2) as part of the electronic circuit.
Some of these minerals rest on brass plates through which they receive energy, some serve as contact switches, and others are used by certain resistivity points on their surface.
Built on top of the stones, a harmonic series generator using regular electronic components allows the player to choose from various combinations (and therefore notes) of the five small rocks, which can be snapped together, submerged in water, played, or strung across
wet sand to complete the circuit.
The public can interact with the different materials present in the scene and complete the circuit, using their own body as part of it.
